The Octave Cares Program

At Octave, we believe that financial concerns should never be a barrier to accessing the Octave MSDA Test. That’s why we created Octave Cares, a comprehensive program designed to provide financial assistance and flexible payment options for patients.

Our cost & billing process

Octave is committed to making our solution affordable and accessible to all patients. The amount you may owe for The Octave MSDA Test can vary based on your health insurance plan and benefits. After we receive your blood sample, Octave will either submit a claim to your insurance or bill you in the absence of insurance or for any balance after your insurance processes a claim. 

Day 1

Your provider orders your MSDA test, and your labs are drawn.

Days 3-4

Your samples are received by Octave for test processing.

Days 5-7

MSDA Test results are delivered to your Ordering Provider, and a claim is submitted to the insurance or processed as Cash Pay. 

Day 15

Cash Pay patients: If you did not opt for Prompt Pay you are billed via mail. 

Days 45-60

Insurance patients: Your claim is processed and an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is provided by your insurance. It's important to note that an EOB is not a bill.

Process Complete

Cash Pay patients: If you did not opt for Prompt Pay you are billed via mail.

For patients who owe a portion of the MSDA Test cost, Octave provides multiple payment options customized to suit the needs of our patients. Our team is available to help you learn more about your potential cost and educate you on our multiple payment options, which include:

Monthly Installment Plans (up to 12 months interest-free)

Prompt Pay Pricing

Octave's Financial Assistance Program

You may conveniently pay your bill online with a credit card. We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club.

  • Choose the “Pay Balance” tab if you have received a statement from Octave 
  • Choose the “PrePayment” tab if you are paying for this service prior to receiving a statement from Octave (i.e. Prompt Pay)

The Financial Assistance Program at Octave is determined by household size and income up to 600% of the Federal Poverty Levels (FPL) for the current calendar year. For additional questions about Octave’s Financial Assistance Program, please schedule time with a team member.
